Tick Twister
Invented by a French veterinarian this tool twists embedded ticks out
of the skin without squeezing them or leaving their loathsome little
heads behind. Lyme disease (a big concern in my part of the world) is
spread by pinhead-sized deer ticks that are very difficult to remove; this looks like a promising solution.

What ever happened to a pair of tweezers? It seems to me that they could serve the same (if not better for the smaller deer ticks) purpose as the tool you have listed. Additionally, they serve a myriad of other purposes.

It is difficult to remove ticks with tweezers without squeezing the tick. The transmission of disease is more likely when the tick gets squeezed.
